Klaus is a taxi driver in Berlin and struggles with the trials and tribulations of the big city as he gets older. It is his last day at work and even on this day he is spared nothing. As he finds out, it is also his last day of life.

The car shots in this film were shot entirely in front of green in the studio of the Babelsberg Film University.
